I didn't change the thermal paste till.ġ) Used throttlestop. This made me search online for the answers.
I got that max temp 93C on my first game it self(Re2 remake). I am a heavy user ( I play a lot of games, Stream and play HD videos, Do some video editing/photo editing and Even use it for a lot coding). Ok I know I am a little bit late to this by I have the same laptop (i7, gtx 1050ti, 8gb ram). Pros: i5 8th Gen 8300H | Ram (16 GB |HDD/1 TB HDD | 128 GB SSD |NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 - 6 GB Graphics
Have you come across any fix which actually works without affecting the performance ?. Is anyone from this community using this laptop ? If yes, do you face the same issue ?. Installed Asus GPUTweak II and tried to set a Temp limit ( say 75-85 degrees ) - works like a charm but it under clocks / limits the power draw which affects gameplay drastically and results in FPS drops of shutters. Undervolted CPU and Gpu as suggested in different forums using intel XTU ( didn't notice much improvement). Thermal used : - Even after re-pasting temp still crossed 90 He changed the thermals and cleaned the laptop in front of me. Changed the thermal past by calling the Acer Support guy before the warranty period got over. Whatever games I play, the temps of the laptop will be 95+ degrees :( Don't feel like playing after sometime due to the heating issue.
